Dr. Belinda Deneen Wallace has two forthcoming pieces set for publication

Dr. Belinda Deneen Wallace has a forthcoming article titled, “'I Will Pay for This Fearlessness:' Post-Colonial Rebels and Revolutionary Lyricism in the Works of Dionne Brand," in Riding the Wave of Resistance, a Special Issue of Proud Flesh: New Afrikan Journal of Culture, Politics, and Consciousness. Additionally, she has a forthcoming entry on Trinidadian poet and novelist Dionne Brand in the new Blackwell Encyclopediaof Postcolonial Studies.
In fall 2012, she presented her research, “Postcolonial Femininity in Contemporary Jamaican Culture,” at the 31st Annual Meeting of the West Indian Literature Conference: Imagined Nations, 50 Years Later: Reflections on Independence and Federation in the Caribbean at the University of Miami, Florida. This fall (October 2013), she will present at the Celebrating African-American Literature: African-American and Afro-Caribbean Poetry Conference at Penn-State University; and at the Radical Caribbeans / Los Caribes Radicales: Repositioning Caribbean Life Conference at Tulane University—where she will share two papers on contemporary Caribbean women poets, including Dionne Brand, Staceyann Chin and Michelle Cliff, respectively.
