Hakim Bellamy named Albuquerque's first Poet Laureate

Congratulations to Hakim Bellamy on his selection as Albuquerque’s first Poet Laureate. Hakim Bellamy has been a special resource to Africana Studies. In 2009, he served on a guest panel with Dick Gregory at the Annual Black History Month Kick-Off Brunch and in 2010 and 2012, he served as the Master of Ceremonies for the brunches with Anna Deavere Smith and Donna Brazile.
