On January 31, 2012, Dr. Nancy Lopez and Dr. Jamal Martin were the featured speakers at the College of Education's Language, Literacy, & Sociocultural Studies Graduate Student Association 2012 Spring Lecture Series.
The 2012 Spring Lecture Series will focus on Critical Theory and Social Transformation. Speakers will engage in dialogue that will challenge scholars, educators, and policy-makers to think critically about issues of power, privilege, and social transformation in multiple domains (education, health policy, counseling, communication, etc.). Their lectures focused on the topic, "Critical Theory as a Research Tool."
