Charlie Morrisey Biography

Charlesetta "Charlie" Morrisey was the embodiment of a community activist. An active volunteer in organizations such as the Red Cross, Chairperson of volunteers for the Special Olympics, the Associate Director of the Albuquerque Museum Association. In addition, she was the President of the Albuquerque branch of the National Council of Negro Women and she served on the Martin Luther King, Jr. Commission, the NAACP, Church Women United, and countless others. Her works earned her the NAACP 's Outstanding Achievement for Promoting Racial Harmony Award and Award of Merit.
